During my diploma of Electrical and Electronic Technologies I was employed as a laboratory technician at the college. My job was to assist the senior technician in the repair and maintenance of existing equipment as well as the creation of new tools and equipment for use by the students in their studies.
Part of my job in the laboratory was the refurbishment and calibration of the The Model 7 Multimeter. The Model 7 is a battle hardened device that can with-stand the kind of treatment that would mortally wound an average digital multimeter. The metres are more than 30 years old and still in regular use at the college for low voltage and current reading.
The picture of the open metre on the requires a replacement bridge for its 'meter movement' to measure current and voltage properly. The assembled metre has a burnt transformer and its good bridge will be donated to the open meter.
